Not only did Arsenal lose the Carling Cup final but now they have lost Robin van Persie for three weeks. The knee injury that he sustained while scoring the equalizer in the Carling Cup will keep him out of the Leyton Orient rematch which maybe he wouldn’t have featured in anyway, but more importantly he will miss the second leg against Barcelona. Arsenal have an advantage but would have liked to gone out there and score, but as we all saw against Birmingham, without van Persie, a goal threat does not seem as imminent.

In regards to the Barcelona game, Arsene Wenger has said that captain Cesc Fabregas MAY be fit for the game. Now that does not sound promising, as Wenger normally is very selective with the words he uses.
