With Southampton’s 2-1 win against Hull tonight they did not only remain unbeaten at home this season but have equalled the record set by Bill Shankly’s Liverpool side of 21 home wins in succession back in 1971-72.

Manchester United were the last side to beat The Saints in the FA cup back in January, and with Southampton now in the Championship things have only got harder but at home they still are dominant. Hull took the lead in tonight’s games but goals from Guly and then the second came from Lallana.

Southampton are still at the top of the league and if they are able to keep up this run it surely see them promoted to the Premiership.

This is great feet to have accomplished and personally one that I am going to follow and keep posting until it ends.
