Could N’Zonzi be on his way out of Blackburn Rovers and be on his way to London, with Arsenal and Chelsea rumoured to be interested in the Young French midfielder

The Blackburn midfielder wasn’t with the rest of the Blackburn squad as they travelled to their training base in Austria leading to reports that the 23 year old Frenchman could be reaching the end of his career with Blackburn Rovers. N’Zonzi, who signed for Blackburn in 2009 for a fee of around £500k, has gone on to make 86 appearances for the Lancashire club, scoring 5 goals and putting in some very solid performances.

When ever I watched N’Zonzi I was always impressed so it doesn’t surprise me that some big clubs are after him. I am sure for the like of Arsenal and Chelsea he wouldn’t be their first pick, but he still could be a very good job for either side, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it were Arsenal that tried harder to sign him.

Arsenal could well turn their attention onto the French defensive midfielder if they miss out on M’Vila and Capoue and they would be happy with the amount of money they would have to part with if they got him. It is believed that around £5m would be enough to sign N’Zonzi which would be half what they would pay for Capoue and at least a third of what they would have to pay for M’Vila.

N’Zonzi is the type of player that Arsenal need. That someone in the middle of the park that’s going to make those tackles and wins the ball. Yes Song does that, but that is not what Song is all about. As he showed last season he is a good passer and likes to go forward. I remember speaking to Song when he was young and on loan at Charlton and he said how did wasn’t enjoying himself as they just knock the ball long and bypass the midfield. Song like to go forward, N’Zonzi seem to enjoy getting into the tackles and sitting back, so both of them in midfield would be very interesting to see.

Chelsea already have Mikel and Essien so it would seem strange that Di Matteo would be in for N’Zonzi, especially when they have the money to go after some bigger names. Personally I think it would be refreshing if Chelsea started buying players for their ability and not just their name, but with the signing of Hazard and the possibility of Hulk coming in that may be wishful thinking on my part.
